Manali- Emblazoned with popular Indian Snow Ski Destinations

If you have never been to Manali, you can never exactly feel the way one does while he is there. Ask some poet who is a ski enthusiast as well. He might better summarize the feeling something like this or may be better:
Hundreds of Kilometres
And numerous stares
I am on my own
I know exactly where
Snow is lovely as it is always
I hope for once dreams are spared
Just let the time make castles
I will provide the ground of air!
Although, “Castles in Air” are the tasks of dreamers, the quality of that dream must be really good that stayed with you even when accomplished. Manali transforms into such a dream in winters. Snow will pave the way for ski lovers who will gather here.

Manali Skiing

There was a time when ski was not as recognised in India as it is now. Professionals that stand now proudly in winter games of International standards put some light on those years when they had to work so hard to practice their sport. Trekking for 1 to 2 hours to reach a height and come down skiing in 10 minutes because there were no ski lifts or ropeways, doing the job of snow beaters by feet and things like that were common but not now.
Now, it has developed in a popular skiing resort, although some people might still argue about reaching international standards. For this, the sport has still to go long. Experienced medical facilities, good ski training institutes, ropeways, cleared slopes, etc are some of the features that were not to be found some time back are there but just not sufficient for the enthusiasts of this sport.
Although, Rohtang Pass (4111 m) and Solang Valley (2560 m), in Manali hold their charm for skiers and enjoyed most by them but honeymooners and family people also find the place amazing, even to look at. And Manali will be there for them!

Concern Regarding Snowfall
The place might be less accessible in ski seasons if you want to go there after heavy snowfall. The same is the issue if you want to get out of that place just after the snowfall because it may take a day or two to clear the roads and resume normal life. Going before time when the snow is expected and keeping a buffer (of days off) is suggested for people on vacation, be it adventure or honeymoon.

Manali- From the Eyes of Tourists

Glaciers and snow-white mountain peaks of the great Himalayas are just the introduction to what Manali tourism actually represents. It turns into a minor pilgrimage place with Hadimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple, Jagatsukh, Vashisth Village Temples & Hot Water Springs, etc.
Wildlife lovers have Manali Sanctuary and Great Himalayan National Park for their feast. Kullu Valley, Club House, some monasteries, etc are attractions of the most itineraries of Manali.

Important Information

The climate of Manali is mostly cold, getting somewhat lenient in summers. This makes it a heaven for tourists in this season. Winters are enjoyed more by skiers and people who are into other winter / snow sports. Hence, the best time to visit this hill station could be different for people with different interests and inclinations, April to Jul for the summer and January and February for Ski and other winter sports.
Have a nice time adventuring in Manali!
