Udawalawe National Park

Udawalawe National Park is a national park was established on June 30, 1972 This is a place that is deliberately created to provide a refuge for wild animals who have no homes due to construction of reservoirs Udawalawe in the Walawe River. This National Park is located in the border province of Uva and Sabaragamuwa, Sri Lanka, with the extent of approximately 30,821 hectares.

Before you become a National Park, his first this place is used for shifting cultivation (Chena farming). And now this park is a popular tourist destination and the third most visited park in the country of Sri Lanka.
